In the Silver Creek Granite Countertop Refresh, Armstrong Building Services updated the kitchen by keeping the existing cabinets in place and replacing the old laminate countertops with a black-and-white natural granite stone called Silver Creek.
This project was a kitchen countertop flip designed to make a major visual impact without removing the existing cabinetry. The original laminate countertops were replaced with Silver Creek granite, a black-and-white natural stone with bold movement, layered veining, and strong contrast. Keeping the cabinets in place helped preserve the layout while giving the kitchen a much more upgraded stone surface.
The finished kitchen shows how a new granite countertop installation can completely change the look of a kitchen without requiring a full cabinet replacement or full kitchen remodel.
The island was made larger to create more usable countertop space and additional seating. This change helped the kitchen work better for everyday dining, prep, serving, and gathering. The new Silver Creek granite island brings the stone pattern into the center of the room and creates a strong focal point against the white cabinetry and warm wood flooring.
A matching 4-inch granite backsplash was installed along the perimeter countertops to complete the refresh and protect the wall behind the counters. At the seam, Armstrong used a black-and-white two-color epoxy mix to better blend with the movement of the Silver Creek granite. That detail helps the seam read more naturally within the stone pattern instead of standing out as a single flat color line.
